Lets face it. When we shop for food, for clothing, for shoes, whatever, we pick what we think looks the most perfect. For clothing and shoes, these imperfect items will end up on the sale rack or end up at outlet stores and sold at a discounted price. What happens to food, chances are that it ends up in the garbage, not even the compost. In most cases, these fruits and veggies that look kinda weird, will not taste any stranger or vary in nutritional value than their ideal looking counterpart. Not too long ago, I read on the Internet that there was a country, France I believe, started selling at supermarkets irregular produce at a discounted price. I thought that was a great idea, and was hoping that the idea would arrive in Canada. I didn't have to wait long, about a month ago, I was doing some grocery shopping at the Real Canadian Superstore, and found they have started selling a "Naturally Imperfect" line. Prices were slight cheaper than their "Perfect" counterparts. I bought some of the mushrooms to try. Aside from the fact that the mushrooms were not perfectly round, some of them looked like 2 mushroom heads merged into 1, they were fresh and tasted how mushrooms taste.

Give the "Naturally Imperfect" produce line a try, its the way that nature intended fruits and vegetables to look. And you also have the opportunity to save some grocery money too.
they sold similar things with poor looking apples
